NMHS Gangs/MMA?

So how many fights occur at the school per week here?! Yesterday was the latest report from my kid of a gang related confrontation that presumably developed in a classroom of a college prep subject when a "17" year old flunky gang banger went on a profanity laced tirade against another student.  The teacher, doing nothing at first, , let it escalate for a couple of minutes before sending the kid out to the office.  Of course, without follow through or supervised detention, the kid never made it. Instead the altercation escalated further endangering the rest of the school.  Way to go PC world, way to go.
