Obama Riots: Fiction Or Real Threat

There's been Talk amongst Fringe groups of the Population about there being an "Obama Riot" or "Race War" taking place in the Streets of America should Obama Fail and Romney be Elected President.

First off I want to squash any Doubt about my Motivation for this Blog Post. I'm not a Registered Voter nor am I Interested in Politics. I find the very idea of a Political System to be Archaic and Problematic at best. Although I'm Anti Politics, I find the Notion of there being some sort of Revolt in the Streets of America over an Election to be Troubling.

On Tuesday November 6th 2012 one of two Mortals will be Elected President of the United States. Our Current President Barack Obama seeking a second Term and Mitt Romney Former Governor of Massachusetts. Both of these Candidates have Cons and Pros about them that will either make people cheer for them or turn their heads in Disgust.

Meanwhile Supporters of both Candidates have taken to the Internet to voice they're outrage about the other including to post Comments which could be construed as Threats. I've always said Politics is a Fools Game with a mostly Foolish Public supporting it and as we Inch closer to Election Night it appears I'm right in my Assertion.

I think people should be able to Vote for what and who they want to without interference from outside Entities & Groups. The Reality is that whether it be an Individual or Corporation everyday there are forces at work attempting to sway Public Opinion a certain way.

Now with Intimidation and Threats added to the mix how is this a Democracy? I decided to do a bit of Research via Google as these types of things tend to be Rumor passed on by someone else who adds their own Interpretation to it. It's become clear that people are enraged and this means that this has gone from mere Rumor to Serious.  But just how Serious?

It's true that America's Constitution affords American Citizens the right to Free Speech, however when is the right to say what you want cross the line into Criminal Intent?

Initially I was of the Personal Opinion this was nothing more than a Populace blowing off steam in a Virtual Environment. However after reading tons of Comments on many Websites I've come to the Conclusion that people are out for Blood. What further Alarmed me was how people responded to such Alleged Threats and shows this Blogger that Hatred is still very much alive in our Diverse Country.

Have we as a Society really not learned anything from our Illustrious History and all of the Barbarian like oppressions we've overcome. Social Media is a Powerful Tool, but it possesses the Ability to Divide people further apart and encourage or dare I say Inspire Strangers to take up Arms and Harm each other because of Unconfirmed Text and Half Truths Published over the Internet.

What about Main Stream Media? There are thousands of Threats toward Mitt Romney's Life, and other Americans. Yet the Media chooses not to focus on any of it, even though it would appear to be a MAJOR Story. Something smells Fishy.

It's Obvious that some people are Thinking and Talking about Obama Riots, yet where's the Outrage from everybody else?  Politics is no good for our Country as everyone chooses Sides and I fear this will be the down fall of our once great Nation.

What may have started out as Fiction has unfortunately taken on a Life of it's own as these things tend to do and the Possibility of War on the Streets of America between Neighbors is a Real Possibility.

Take my Post with a Grain of Salt, better yet do your own Research and find out what your fellow Americans are thinking and see if there are any Correlations to this Potential Catastrophe.

As a Registered Voter should Riots take place how do you plan on Responding, also what's your Opinion of it all?

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

Today PG&E told me that about 3,000 customers (homes and businesses) in Newark and Fremont wereRead More without power from 7:57 p.m. to about 11 p.m. (I think ours went out a few minutes before that and I'm sure ours came on before 9 p.m. I suppose maybe some of those 3000 folks were out longer as they brought neighborhoods back up gradually, but my guess is that some bureaucrat guessed at the beginning that the outage "should" last 3 hours, and that became historical "fact.") due to a "device failure." (Now that's informative. My guess remains that wind was involved.) They called and left a message on my Comcast voice mail to let me know the power was out and that it should be back on by 11 - but my phones require power so I didn't get the message until this morning. I just called PG&E to change the number they call with such notifications to my cell, but they were able to clarify nothing else. Anyway, in case you were wondering, that is what PG&E now says happened.

I definitely rushed right into the shower when the power went out to avoid the dark! Apparently allRead More the traffic lights were out in the areas you mentioned, as well as the Central/Blacow traffic lights. I wish I knew what happened, I should probably check that out right now. I saw a cop car and fire truck a few houses down on my street.
He will probably be scared at first but he comes for food

I remember as a teacher buying my own supplies. Looking back I don't regret buying anything andRead More realize that each person's teaching style is different. The things I might buy for my classroom would be totally different than you. Running a classroom is a lot like running a business, there are expenses and you just have to deal with that.

It's definitely a great photo! We didn't anticipate it to stretch like that. We'll change itRead More eventually, but your friend should have enough time to check it out, John.

James, I completely understand and agree. The image is stretched beyond the dimensions it was meantRead More to be viewed, but it was a pleasant surprise to see the photo at the top of the page! I hope it stays up for at least another day so my friend can see it. Thanks for your reply.

One story I tried to read had an ad covering 1/4 of it, and there was no way to make it go away.

Don't like it at all. "Change" isn't always for the better.
