NewPark Mall Opens Santa’s Village

Oh the weather outside is frightful, but his beard is so delightful. And since we want that photo, let us go, let us go, to the mall.

Oh, it doesn’t show signs of stopping, and I’ve brought filters for processing.

As long as he’s at the North Pole, let us go, let us go, to the mall.

Santa Claus is in the lower level of NewPark Mall this holiday season, next to the JC Penny in Newark. From now through Christmas Eve, Jolly Old St. Nick will be in the “Interactive North Pole,” waiting to have his photo taken with your loved one.

He’s usually there between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Thursdays.  (He goes on break between 2:30 and 3:30.) Fridays and Saturdays, he’s in Newark between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m.  He gets an extra hour of sleep on Sunday, coming in at noon and departing at 6 p.m. (His lunch break on the weekends starts at 3.)

His schedule changes the weekend of Dec 13:

Friday - Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 8:00p.m (Break 1:00 - 1:30; 5:00 - 6:00)

Sunday: 11:00 am - 7:00 p.m. (Break 2:30 - 3:30) 

And again December 16 – 23:

Daily: 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. (Break 2:00 - 2:30; 6:00 - 7:00)

December 24: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Break 12:30 - 1:30)

A photo with with Santa will cost about $16 for one printed image, or $25 for a USB drive with the photos on it.
