Santa To Visit Firehouse in Newark

Children can take a photo with Santa on an antique fire engine.

Santa is coming to Newark, California this December for a few photo ops and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies.

The Alameda County Fire Department is hosting Santa at multiple locations this holiday season. An elf leaked an interdepartmental memo that unveiled Santa’s schedule. 

Here’s where he’ll be this holiday season: 

When: Saturday, December 21, From 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Where: Station #28, 7550 Thornton Avenue in Newark, California

The lineup: Newark Memorial High School’s choir will sing holiday songs; firefighters will read “A Firefighter’s Night Before Christmas,” and Santa will be in the firehouse for photos. Children can take a picture with Santa on an antique fire engine for a $10 donation. They can also have milk and Otis Spunkmeyer cookies. 

Santa will also visit other firehouses in Alameda County.  

On Saturday, December 14, he will be at Fire Station #33 in Union City, which is located at 33942 7th St, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. The lineup is the same as the one in Newark, except for the choir. The James Logan High School Jazz Choir will sing holiday carols at that event.

On Sunday December 8, Santa will make two stops in the East Bay.

From 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., he will visit Fire Station #25, located at 20336 San Miguel Avenue in Castro Valley.  He will be there between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

He’ll take a lunch break and then drive to Dublin where he’ll visit Fire Station #18.
Between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. you can find Santa at 4800 Falllon Road.

Santa will also visit Fire Station #9 in San Leandro on Saturday, December 21 between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. That station is located at 450 Estudillo Avenue.

The suggested donation for photos with Santa is the same at all locations. Each event features milk and cookies, sing a longs, and stories from firefighters.
