SAVE's 10th Annual Eye Opener Breakfast

10 years already? Yes, this will be our 10th Breakfast Eye Opener (initially known as the Domestic Violence Awareness Breakfast). We are proud of how this event has grown since 2003 into an inspiring and enriching morning for so many community members. We are even prouder of how the proceeds from the Breakfast Eye Opener – more than $400,000 since 2003 -- have allowed SAVE to empower women, such as Tanya, to be free, safe, and at peace:

“Coming to SAVE set me free. I now have the freedom to go to the store, eat what I want for dinner, and sleep in peace. I am a whole new person because of SAVE. I don’t even want to think where I would be without SAVE.”

Nonetheless, SAVE has so much more to do. For every Tanya that comes to SAVE, there are many more who are being abused by someone who is supposed to love them, nurture them, and care for them. They need our help too. With your leadership and investment, SAVE advocates will be on the crisis line, at the police departments, in the courts, in our shelter, and in our offices to help every domestic violence victim.

Please join us at this year's Breakfast on Friday, September 28, 2012, from 7:30 am to 9:00 am (registration begins at 7 am). Tickets are $75 per person; reserved tables of 10 are available. To purchase, visit www.save-dv.org or call SAVE's Community Office at (510) 574-2250.

Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are also available. Please visit:  http://www.save-dv.org or call Sherri Plaza at (510) 574-2256 or email development@save-dv.org

This is one Breakfast you don't want to skip!

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.

I remember as a teacher buying my own supplies. Looking back I don't regret buying anything andRead More realize that each person's teaching style is different. The things I might buy for my classroom would be totally different than you. Running a classroom is a lot like running a business, there are expenses and you just have to deal with that.

One story I tried to read had an ad covering 1/4 of it, and there was no way to make it go away.

Don't like it at all. "Change" isn't always for the better.
