Community Corner

SAVE's Open Doors

SAVE (Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments) invites you to Open Doors, a free community education and outreach event. SAVE has provided domestic violence intervention, prevention, and support services to the residents of Southern Alameda County and beyond for over 35  years. Domestic violence is no longer "a private family matter"; it is a crime and affects not just the victims and their loved ones but entire communities.

At Open Doors, you will learn basic facts about domestic violence and how SAVE helps intimate partner abuse survivors step away from violence and cross the threshold into new lives of peace. Join us and learn about the wide array of free services SAVE offers, including counseling, emergency shelter, a 24-hour hotline and much more.

At Open Doors SAVE's Executive Director will discuss domestic violence facts, staff members will provide information about our programs and their work, and a SAVE client will share her inspiring story of survival and triumph. There will be time for a Q&A session and lunch is included.
