The Relay For Life is a Charity event that benefits the American Cancer Society. Newark has been holding this event since 2007 each summer. The goal is to bring the community together to raise money to educate and fund cancer research and provide services for cancer patients.
The Relay For Life is a volunteer lead event. Each year a committee forms and helps to plan the event itself, along with fundraisers, dinners celebrating survivors and much more.
We are always looking for new people to help out, so if you're interested in being a part of a truely inspiring event, please come to one of our meetings and see how you can get involved!
