Artist, Jan Small Hosts 'Revelation' Exhibit and Holiday Toy Drive

In December, the Cultural Corner at NewPark Mall will welcome back artist and author, Jan Small. Small will exhibit paintings based on selected chapters/scriptures from the Book of Revelation, the last book of the New Testament in the Bible.

For more than 48 years, Small has taught art. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and has been seen on television and published in newspapers and magazines. Her work has also been secured for public and private collections.

Small has lectured and demonstrated to art associations, churches and Christian organizations as well as taught art classes at College of Holy Names (Oakland, CA), Fremont School District and Fremont Recreation Department. In addition, she has taught special classes to the mentally and physically handicapped, to senior citizens and to abandoned and abused children at Alameda County Juvenile Hall. Her love of art motivates her to hold classes in her studio where she also facilitates workshops in painting prophetic art.

She has penned three books as an author: Healing By His Design, Revelation Illustrated and The Making of An Artist-The First 70 Years. For more information on Small, visit www.jansmall.com.

Small will also be hosting NewPark Mall’s Holiday Toy Drive. Shoppers and exhibitors can drop-off new and unwrapped toys from December 2 – 20 at the Cultural Corner. Toys will go to the League of Volunteers (LOV). Partnering with NewPark Mall, they are making dreams come true for children in the Tri-City Area during the holiday season.
