Update: Missing Fremont Woman Found

Police say the woman was located Thursday night

Fremont police have located an elderly woman who was reported missing Tuesday.

Authorities issued a press release around 11:45 p.m. Thursday stating that the woman, who has Alzheimer's, had been located.

Sharon Benassi, 66, walked away from the Kaiser Hospital in Fremont at approximately 3:30 p.m. two days ago.

An image released Thursday shows Benassi with a walker, which she uses in order to get around.

Benassi is described as beeing approximately 5'6" tall and weighing 230 pounds with brown hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing a burgundy colored shirt and light colored slacks.
