Week in Review: Strong Arm Robberies, Newark Man Killed in San Mateo County Car Crash

Two businesses in Newark fell victim to strong-arm robberies in recent weeks. Two men robbed the store on Cedar Boulevard with a handgun on May 19, and a 35-year-old man on suspicion of attempted burglary and resisting arrest on May 16 after police were called to on Thornton Avenue.

A Newark man was killed in a car crash while working for a local open space district near La Honda in San Mateo County . He was identified as Luis Audelo-Partida, 26. Police said three others suffered minor injuries in the crash.
