Week in Review: Fighting Crime, Celebrating Ramadan, Goodbye Toys 'R' Us

Newark Patch readers expressed their regrets that our local is moving to Fremont. Patch learned about the move when we noticed "moving sale" signs go up at the store located in the NewPark Plaza. Employees said the store will close in about two weeks. for more details.

The Newark Unified School Board of Education met Tuesday, Aug. 2, and heard reports that will help them decide whether to place a general obligation bond issue on the November ballot.
