Viewfinder: Tracking Puddles, Snow Flurries

Bay Area residents will have a break from the showers today, according to the National Weather Service.

The Bay Area will have a chance to dry out from the last round of wet weather today with a forecast of mostly sunny skies.

The National Weather Service calls for highs near 53 degrees in Newark Sunday plus calm winds ranging between 11 and 14 mph. Tonight, Newark may see temperatures dip to 38 degrees.

On President's Day, forecast calls for another sunny day with highs near 54 degrees. Other parts of the Bay Area can expect cloudy skies with a slight chance of showers in the afternoon and highs in the lower to mid 50s.

Bay Area residents navigated wet roads and chilly temperatures Saturday. Some found snow covering the peaks of Mt. Diablo. That's where snow fell to elevation levels just under 1,800 feet and temperatures dipped into the 30s.
