Health centers are run from the bottom up, by a patient-majority governing board providing guidance on how limited resources can be effectively directed to meet the health care needs of the community.

Since 1970, TCHC services have expanded to include medical, dental, and behavioral services that meet the needs of individuals and the entire family.

"It is critical to showcase and celebrate the impact of community health centers in fueling healthier communities, especially in the face of the budget and health care challenges resulting from the current economic and political climate.

At Tri-City, we focus on providing high quality and comprehensive services while treating our patients as individuals, with dignity and respect.

Our NHCW open house event will demonstrate the importance of community services in the public health sector, and celebrate our success with our patients and our community" said Kathleen A. Lievre, Chief Executive Officer.

Now more than ever, public support is needed for health centers as Congress attempts to reduce the budget deficit with spending cuts to the program and changes to Medicaid that could further reduce access to preventive care for millions of people. To find out more, please visit www.nachc.org.
