This Week: Ohlone Spring Job Fair, Band and Choir Concerts

Here are five things you need to know in and around Newark through May 28.

  1. Are you a senior or know a senior who wants to learn more about driving safe? Representatives of the California Highway Patrol will give a presentation at the at 10 a.m. on Tuesday and will discuss how to maintain good health and prevent accidents and distractions in order to continue driving longer.   2. Got your new iPad or iPhone you’ve been wanting and want to learn more about how to use it? Join the Newark Library’s seminar on how to use those Apple electronics on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. Register by calling 510-795-2627 extension 20 or email btelford-ishida@aclibrary.org.
  3. Job seekers, you’re in luck. The Ohlone College and Tri-Cities One-Stop Career Center is hosting its on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the Ohlone Newark campus. Recruiters from several companies will be on hand and some of them will even be interviewing during the event.
  4. Come see the Newark Memorial High School Advanced Band’s musical talents at its on Wednesday night. The advanced band will host its spring concert starting at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Newark Memorial High theater. Preferred donation is $5.
  5. Music will play on toward the end of the week as the plays. The high school’s choirs will perform on Friday and Saturday. Both concerts begin at 7 p.m. and there is a preferred donation of $5.

The things I might buy for my classroom would be totally different than you. Running a classroom is a lot like running a business, there are expenses and you just have to deal with that.
