Thanksgiving Week Closures in the Tri-Cities

A list of closures in Fremont, Newark and Union City for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, and with that means holiday closures and limited hours of operation.

Here’s a rundown of what will be closed throughout the Tri-Cities during this upcoming holiday.

All post offices are closed throughout the nation on Thursday, Nov. 22.

FREMONT

  • City offices are closed from Thursday, Nov. 22 to Sunday, Nov. 25. Normal hours of operation resume Monday, Nov. 26.
  • Public schools are on Thanksgiving break the week of Nov. 19. Classes resume Monday, Nov. 26
  • Libraries in Fremont are closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23.

NEWARK

  • City offices are closed from Thursday, Nov. 22 to Sunday, Nov. 25. Normal hours of operation resume Monday, Nov. 26
  • Public schools are on Thanksgiving break the week of Nov. 19. Classes resume Monday, Nov. 26
  • NewPark Mall will be closed Thanksgiving Day. The indoor shopping center will open at midnight on Nov. 24 for Black Friday events. (Editor’s note: Not every store will be open at midnight.)
  • Newark Library is closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23.

UNION CITY

  • City offices are closed from Thursday, Nov. 22 to Sunday, Nov. 25. Normal hours of operation resume Monday, Nov. 26
  • Public schools are on Thanksgiving break the week of Nov. 19. Classes resume Monday, Nov. 26
  • Union City Library is closed Thursday, Nov. 22 and Friday, Nov. 23.

One story I tried to read had an ad covering 1/4 of it, and there was no way to make it go away.
