Shooting, Dumbarton Bridge, Ohlone Fashion Show

Also this week, game fans took a trip back to the past and a local Girls Scouts troop collects donations for a special baby shower.

This week, an 18-year-old man was recovering from gunshot wounds following a  at a housing complex on Cedar Boulevard Wednesday. This is the third shooting incident in Newark for 2011.

A big rig collision and fire on the prompted the California Highway Patrol to shutdown the eastbound lanes Tuesday. No injuries were reported. Authorities responded to another incident by the eastbound span of the Dumbarton Bridge Saturday after a single-engine Cessna 140 in the mud flats area. An FAA spokesman said the pilot survived the crash.

Also, Tri-Cities Girl Scouts  joined forces with Operation Showers of Appreciation to celebrate military families' bundles of joy. Girl Scout Troop 32271 is still collecting donations and gifts for its March 5  in Fremont.
