UPDATE: Missing Fremont Teen Found Safe

Miloshi Mehta was last seen Sunday night leaving Red Hawk Terrace.

A 15-year-old Fremont girl who disappeared Sunday night is home safe with her family, according to Lt. Tony Duckworth of the Fremont Police Department.

Miloshi Mehta was reunited with her family earlier this evening, though authorities didn't say where she was or the exact time. A detailed report had not yet been written, Duckworth said.

The Mission San Jose High School junior was reported missing after she went for a walk around Lake Elizabeth on Sunday night. She was last seen leaving her uncle’s condo on Red Hawk Terrace on Sunday, according to news reports. The Contra Costa Times reported she left around 8:30 p.m., while KRON 4 reported she was last seen around 10:30 p.m.

Family members believed she may have taken BART to San Francisco to meet a man she met online, according to KRON 4.

During the short time of her disappearance, a Facebook page titled “Help FIND Miloshi” was created to help locate the teen.
