A Bunker Elementary School family will be celebrating this July 4 with a bunch of fireworks — $500 worth of fireworks.
The $500 Big Bang box of fireworks was sold to the family by two Musick Elementary teachers volunteering at the Newark Schools Foundation, Inc. fireworks booth, located off at 36665 Cedar Blvd.
Most booths will close at 9 p.m. today and fireworks are only legal to use until midnight. Newark has a zero tolerance for the use of illegal fireworks.
