  1. The Newark Chamber of Commerce has restarted its Club meetings. The club meets at 11:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at the and is open to all Newark Chamber of Commerce members. The club gives business owners a networking opportunity. Call 510-744-1000 to RSVP.
  2. The NPM Cultural Corner at will welcome a new exhibit entitled Angie’s Gallery, scheduled to open Wednesday. Angie Villegas’ art includes paintings of landscapes, celebrities and sports. The exhibit will run through Oct. 18.
  3. The City Council meets Thursday with a heavy agenda full of public hearings to consider four permits for new businesses.   4. Seniors are invited to the . More than 150 seniors will gather at the Hilton Newark Hotel for this event, which will have a nautical theme. Seniors will also have a chance to win a trip to the Mexican Riviera or Napa. Proceeds go toward the Tri-City Elder

  5. We all know about the Newark Memorial Cougars, but this Saturday the Newark High Knights will be making a comeback. is being held for all Newark High students at .
