Need to Know: Community Talks To Mayoral Candidates, Newark Celebrates Its Birthday

  5. Chabot Community College will launch its year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary on Thursday. A free lecture entitled by California State Treasurer Bill Lockyer will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the college’s Reed L. Buffington Visual and Performing Arts Center.
