A 20-year-old man was hospitalized briefly following a shooting at a house party early Saturday morning, police said.
According to police, officers responded to a report of a disturbance with possible gunshots at a loud party on Long Street at about 1:30 a.m. early Saturday morning.
Arriving officers found a 20-year-old man leaving the scene with a facial injury sustained from a gunshot, police said.
The gunshot wound was not life-threatening, according to police. The victim was transported via ambulance to the Eden Medical Center where he received treatment and was later released.
Though there were numerous witnesses at the party, police said they were uncooperative with widely varying and conflicting accounts.
Authorities said there were a “significant number” of documented Norteno gang members at the party.
This weekend’s possible gang-related shooting came less than two weeks . That same night, a gang-related drive-by shooting occurred on the 6300 block of Mirabeau Drive.
