If You Missed it, Never Fear — the Gourmet Food Truck Festival is Coming Back

Event coming back to the Alameda County Fairgrounds on Oct. 15.

If you missed the Gourmet Food Truck Festival in mid-September, not to worry — organizers are going to repeat the popular event from 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 15 at the .

The music will make the atmosphere lively, the tables and chairs will make it comfortable and this time, and Mobile Gourmet co-founder Jill Horn said they'll have have more than 20 trucks in an effort to shorten the lines and increase the variety.  

They'll have some of the favorites including: The Shackmobile from Lobster Shack, which serves the most delicious lobster rolls; Sunshine Susan who has a solar powered ice cream parlor, and That's Sweet, owned by a Pleasanton family that sells mini pies, whoopie pies and cupcakes.

All are welcome to come enjoy a large variety of food trucks, beer, wine, margaritas, and live music. The mission: to introduce the joys of the food truck phenomenon to the suburbs, which they do by organizing food truck events throughout the Bay Area. They currently have a weekly lunch at the Hiller Aviation Museum every Wednesday and are planning a number of other public and private food truck events. 

The Mobile Gourmet is a shoe-string start-up formed by two women, including Horn, who've spent their careers in the tech industry. Horn's partner, Lorring Jones, is a Pleasanton resident.
