  • Where/When: Newark Swiss Park; Saturday at 11 a.m.
  • Why Go: Watch wrestlers from different states compete in this annual event. Following the competition, enjoy a BBQ chicken dinner, dance to music inside the hall and attend the wrestling awards ceremony.
  • Pricing: $10 admission; $12 for dinner

AQUA ADVENTURE

  •  Where/When: Aqua Adventure Waterpark in Fremont; Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: Take your family to a waterpark this Memorial Day weekend. Make sure to try the park's roundabout river and enjoy a snack at the park's grill when you get hungry.

CORN MOSAIC MAGIC

SILENT MOVIE NIGHT

  • When/Where: The Niles Essanay Silent Film Museum in Fremont; Saturday at 7:30 p.m.
  • Why Go: Don't miss your chance to see the the feature-length film It (1927) with 1920s sex symbol Clara Bow in her biggest role.
  • Pricing: $5

FREE DAY AND OPEN HOUSE AT ARDENWOOD FARM

  • Where/When: Ardenwood Historic Farm in Fremont; Monday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Why Go: Celebrate the holiday with an admission-free day of fun. Help with the morning chores, ride the train, tour the Victorian farmhouse, watch the blacksmith at work, taste some “farm baked” cookies from the outdoor Country Kitchen or try your skills at some old-time games.
