- Why Go: This Waldo-themed bike party is sure to be a fun-filled social event. The plan is dress in red-and-white striped shirts and ride from Hayward through Castro Valley. The post-ride will include music, piñatas and a food truck, so bring cash if you want to grub on some MoGo BBQ.

- Where/When: Sun Gallery, 1015 E St., Hayward; Saturday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Why Go: See the work of local artists at this new art show titled “Dedicated to You” that pays tributes to the oldies. The reception will feature music, wine and the works of more than a dozen local artists. The exhibit runs through April 7.

- Why Go: Teens and adults are invited to learn how to get creative with water colors at this demonstration by local artist Grace Rankin. Materials will be provided but registration is required. for details

- Where/When: , 34009 Alvarado Niles Rd., Union City; Sunday, with check-in at 8 a.m.; run/walk starts at 9:30 a.m.
- Why Go: Get active and help the community by participating in this fun run that begins at City Hall. All proceeds go toward the Union City Sport Center. to register.
- Pricing: Registration is $15 for youth 17 and under and $20 for Union City adults. Non-residents must pay an additional $5.
- Where/When: (Auditorium), 35753 Cedar Blvd., Newark; From 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday
- Why Go: Have a Sunday Funday with the Big Lou’s Polka Casserole band. This six-piece band can play everything from polka to waltzes. Refreshments will be served during an intermission.
