Caltrans — Motorists are encouraged to take a different route tonight as a result of Caltrans' plans to close the northbound Interstate 880 connector to eastbound Interstate 80 in Oakland.
The closure will be in effect from 11 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday.
The Bay Bridge and the Northbound Interstate 880 connector to westbound I-80 will remain open.
If you're heading toward eastbound I-80, Caltrans is directing motorists to take eastbound I-980 to westbound I-580 and continue to eastbound I-80.
