Start Mother’s Day early at the event at the . From 12 – 5 p.m. families can browse booths filled with antiques, arts and crafts, baked goods, flowers and other wares plus enjoy live music by Le Hot Jazz Trio. Brunch is always a Mother’s Day favorite and restaurants all over the Tri-Valley are putting together scrumptious spreads on Sunday. At San Ramon’s new Clementine’s restaurant, mom can enjoy her brunch and mimosa while listing to live music performed by Lee Waterman and his trio. If you ate a bit too much for Mother's Day brunch, walk it off as you enjoy a stroll through the Jewelry, Fine Art & Craft Show, taking place both Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at the Alamo Plaza Shopping Center. Browse booths featuring original creations by painters, sculptors and other artisans and maybe even pick up a gift for mom.

The Kumu Hula Association of Northern California is holding the annual Lei Day/Mother's Day Festival at the Fairgrounds in Pleasanton on Saturday and Sunday. Beautiful music and dance, ono grinds, lots of crafts, and a half off coupon for mothers. www.kumuhulaassociation.com
