NEWARK
Treat yourself to a sweet treat as you shop at NewPark Mall this holiday season: Sugar High Dessert Dispensary recently opened on the upper level between Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and Jamba Juice. The new dessert shop sells freshly baked cupcakes, small-batch gourmet ice cream, dessert “fundu” plates and other sweets. The new store’s sister company is the popular mobile ice cream and dessert truck “Truckin Sweet” found at Food Truck Mafia events.
Looking for a perfect gift for movie buffs? The new seasonal store American Idols specializes in all things Hollywood, such as Marilyn Monroe posters, life-size cutouts, film memorabilia and other collectibles. The new store is open through the holiday season and is located on the lower level near Macy’s.

Favorite Indian Restaurant is set to open this week in Union City, replacing Muskaan on Decoto Road. The new Indian restaurant, which also has locations in Hayward and San Ramon, will offer full menu service featuring traditional North Indian cuisine, a lunchtime buffet and beer and wine.
