Prices at the Pump: Still Paying More

Newark gas prices as of April 1.

You will find a handful of Newark gas stations still selling regular unleaded gas for under $4.00 per gallon.

Many people wonder how long that will last.

At the beginning of April, American drivers were paying, on average, $3.61 per gallon of regular unleaded gas. The AAA Fuel Gauge Report shows that’s up from the same period last year when drivers were paying $2.80 per gallon.

As of April 1, Californian drivers were paying an average price of $4.07 per gallon of regular unleaded. Last year, Californian drivers were paying an average price of $3.10, according to AAA.
