Once Upon a Child Store to Open in Newark

The store, which will open next week, is known to sell and buy children's apparel and equipment.

Have new baby clothes that your child has already outgrown? If so, you might want to head down to Once Upon a Child next week.

Once Upon a Child, a store that buys and sells children's apparal and equipment, is opening in Newark's Cedar Springs Shopping Center.

According to its website:

Once Upon A Child buys and sells gently used kids clothing, toys and baby gear offering you the opportunity to recycle your children’s nearly new items and get paid on the spot.

The shop will be open to buy items by Feb. 12 but will not have anything available to sell until March, according to the website. 

Once Upon a Child's opening in Newark makes it the only location within Alameda County. The Minnesota-based company has nine other locations in California with the closest located in San Mateo.

Newark's Once Upon a Child will be located at 39644 Cedar Blvd. Its store phone number is 510-573-4530. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.

One story I tried to read had an ad covering 1/4 of it, and there was no way to make it go away.
