Let's Cupcake Still Baking During Relocation

The family-run bakery in Newark closed before New Year's and hasn't yet opened another retail space. But you can order by phone with free delivery.

Since the end of December the sign on the door of Let's Cupcake has said that the family-run bakery would be relocating.

But it has not yet opened its new site because the bakery is still finalizing its lease arrangements, says Michelle Ortiz one of the firms' four principals.

Ortiz runs the business with her two sisters, Venise Garcia and Natasha Hernandez. The fourth baker is their mom, Edna Diaz.

Ortiz said the four women have been professional cup cake makers for about six years, three of those years at their former retail site.
