Learn About Buying and Selling a Home at Local Seminar

Two nonprofits partner to host a real estate seminar at Newark Library on Aug. 15.

A press release from Project 51:

Real estate community giving program Project 51 will be hosting a Q&A home buying/selling seminar at the (6300 Civic Terrance Ave, Newark) on Wednesday, August 15th, from 6-7 p.m., with a meet and greet starting at 5:30pm.

Consumers are invited to meet a panel of local experts — including real estate agent, mortgage consultant, and credit restoration expert — to discuss the pressing issues both homeowners and homebuyers face in today’s market. Get all your questions answered at this free event.

has partnered with Project 51 to organize this seminar and bring the real estate resources of Project 51 to the local community.  Project 51 will be making significant donations to Viola Blythe services and programs from resulting home sales.

Project 51 is the revolutionary idea of Founder Kenneth Tan, a philanthropist and real estate agent of 12 years, who leads a Keller Williams Fremont real estate team to fulfill their vision of giving back to the community.

Project 51 commits to donating 51 percent of the team's real estate earnings to established non-profit organizations, to facilitate programs and events that coincide with their philanthropic mission and the clients' charitable interests.

The concept is simple—Buy/Sell your home through the Project 51 community giving program, and Project 51 will donate 51 percent of the proceeds to the non-profit charity of the client’s choice (i.e. $400K purchase price with $10,000 Realtor commission = potential $5100 donation to charity).

Their goal is to donate more than $51,000 to community organizations and projects in 2012.

The Keller Williams Project 51 real estate team has 30+ years of combined experience in the Northern California real estate market.  With their extraordinary vision to make an impact, they work with home buyers and sellers who share their invested interest to give back to the community.

To register for the Q&A real estate seminar contact Kenneth Tan at 510-505-5555 or kennethtan@myproject51.org.

I remember as a teacher buying my own supplies. Looking back I don't regret buying anything andRead More realize that each person's teaching style is different. The things I might buy for my classroom would be totally different than you. Running a classroom is a lot like running a business, there are expenses and you just have to deal with that.

One story I tried to read had an ad covering 1/4 of it, and there was no way to make it go away.
