What Should Replace the Former Border's Bookstore at the Fremont Hub?

Borders Books has gone the way of many of its brick & mortar brethren. What would you like to see in its place?

Maybe the Fremont Hub already has everything consumers could desire, so why fuss over the empty storefront where Borders Books used to be.

But perhaps you have an idea for a store that could flourish there and would add something to the local shopping experience.

By the way book readers, just a few doors down from the old Borders, Half Price Books still buys used and sells, so there's a place to recycle your print editions.

(Aside: What happens to used editions in the ebook world?)

I have to jump into the fray with another call for B&N. I absolutely love HPB, but they need an influx of new books to keep their content fresh. If there's a lack of access to new book stores in the local area, there's going to be less for locals to sell to HPB down the road. Eventually that'll lead to a stagnant inventory for their store, and who wants that? Then we either just give up on HPB, we have to wait for them to pull what we're looking for from the other HPB locations, or we just have to start driving for a different location such as Dublin which shares a city with a B&N.

X2. Personally, I'd like to see a year-'round Halloween store, but that's just me.
