Halloween: Where to Pick Your Pumpkins

Perry Farms and NewPark Mall both have pumpkin patches this Halloween season.

Planning on pickin’ up some pumpkins? If you’re in the Tri-Cities, you don’t have to travel very far.

Local farms and grocery stores are now selling the perfect pumpkins for your Jack ‘o’ Lanterns, and new to the area is Pick of the Patch Pumpkins in Newark.

PICK OF THE PATCH PUMPKINS

New to the area, NewPark Mall is now home for the seasonal remote pumpkin patch brought to families from ABC Tree Farms. A family-owned business, Pick of the Pumpkins have served Bay Area communities for more than 30 years. While the pumpkin patch is a remote one, they come with fun.  Bounce houses,slides and obstacle courses are available for children ages 2 to 12 to explore. NewPark Mall is located at 2086 NewPark Mall.  Hours of operation are as follows:

October 14-20

  • Monday thru Thursday from 11:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
  • Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.

October 21-31

  • Sunday thru Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Friday and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Admission for the inflatable activities are $8 per child for 30 minutes; $12 per child for one hour and $25 for an all day pass. The pumpkin patch is located in the parking lot near the Spirit Halloween store, which is occupying the upper level of the mall’s former Target location.

 PERRY FAMILY PUMPKIN PATCH

Perry Family Pumpkin Patch is a family-owned, certified organic, vegetable farm located at 34600 Ardenwood Blvd. in Fremont’s Ardenwood district. This pumpkin patch gives families a chance to pick their pumpkins and buy the accessories needed to decorate them. You can even check out the farm’s hay pyramid and scarecrows. The pumpkin patch is open from noon to 7 p.m. from Tuesday to Friday and from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.  For more information, call 510-793-6658.
