Gas Prices Fall in Newark
Cheapest gas in Newark: $3.61. The average cost of gas in Northern California is $3.79 per gallon.
Gas prices have been on rollercoaster ride throughout the summer, and this week they are on a decline after seeing a few increases in the past few weeks.
The average cost of unleaded gas in the Bay Area is $3.88 per gallon, compared with the national average of $3.65, according to a press release issued by AAA. That national average, however, is 88 cents more than the national cost of $2.77 at this date last year.
In Newark, cost of gas is all under $4 as of Thursday evening.
