Daiso Japan permanently closed the store in NewPark Mall this month, opening a space for a new business to enter Newark.
Patrons of the Japanese dollar store suspect the business was evicted for not paying rent. Rouse Properties, the company that manages the leases at this mall, has not responded to inquiries for clarity.
What is known is that Daiso Japan fans will need to travel to Union City to get their brightly colored trinket fix.
