Black History Month Observance

The Afro-American Cultural & Historical Society, Inc., with the support of the City of Newark Cultural Arts Program, presents its 38th Annual Black History Month Observance on Feb. 11.  This year’s national theme is “Black Women in American Culture and History”.

Held at the Newark Community Center, there will be a
Health & Wellness Seminar from 10 am to 12 pm and ongoing activities from 12 pm to 6 pm.

There will be vendors, a keynote speaker, singers, dancers, poets, a Soul Food kitchen, and more.

Join in making this a true community event, celebrating and educating youth about Black history, culture and ethnic traditions.
