On Thursday, Tri-City residents got an interesting bit of news - a new weekly flea market will soon be coming to the parking lot of James Logan High School in Union City, for the purposes of filming a new reality show, tentatively titled "Flea Market Wars." Each episode will feature a celebrity that will shop at five different booths, and residents are invited to apply to be vendors at the new weekly flea market. to read the full article.

Saturday brought with it news of the four-legged kind - the Tri City Animal Shelter announced that the month of May will be known as Chihuahua Palooza, in which all adoptions of Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes will be free. for more information.

Sunday's news offers a reminder - beginning Monday morning, Kato Road will be closed for traffic as construction on the BART extension to the south bay breaks ground. A detour to Dixon Landing Road will be provided, but officials warn that Dixing Landing traffic could nearly double, especially during morning commutes. for more details.
