Red Cross Volunteer Orientations Set for October

Orientations will be held in Newark and Pleasanton.

Looking for volunteer? The American Red Cross is looking for volunteers for its Northern California Blood Services region and orientations will be held thoroughout the area in October.

Volunteer orientations will be held in the Tri-Cities and Tri-Valley.

In the Tri-City, the orientations will be held at the Newark Blood Donation Center, 39227 Cedar Blvd. in Newark on Monday, Oct. 8 at 3:30 p.m.

Tri-City residents who would like to volunteer are asked to contact Anne at 510-594-5165 or at anne.blackstone@redcross.org.

Orientations in the Pleasanton-Dublin area are scheduled to be held at the Pleasanton Blood Donation Center, 5556-B Springdale Ave. in Pleasanton on Friday, Oct. 19 at 5 p.m.

Tri-Valley residents interested in volunteering are asked to contact Tami at 408-577-2006 or at tambra.wethern@redcross.org

At both orientations, prospective volunteers will learn how to greet, inform and thank blood donors from throughout the community. People who would like to attend the orientations must sign up in advance.

One story I tried to read had an ad covering 1/4 of it, and there was no way to make it go away.
