Halloween: Free Haunted House in Newark; Treats Throughout the Tri-Cities

Free tricks and treats will be offered throughout Fremont, Newark and Union City.

For some people, Halloween candy and treats aren't enough. They look for goblins, ghouls and more.

Luckily, Tri-City residents don't have to look too far.

One house on the 38000 block of Columbine Place will be taken over tonight by scary and creepy creatures of all kinds.

Hosted by Jeff Giacoletto and company, the haunted house has become an annual event, and the turnout has grown every year, Giacoletto said.

The haunting tricks (and treats) are free beginning at dusk, or around 7 p.m.

"Basically, I want to give the community a free and safe place to come and truck-or-treat on Halloween," Giacoletto told Patch.

You can find the haunted house at Columbine Place in Newark, which is located off of Smith Street.
