Furry Friend of the Week: Kikin

Name: Kikin (key-keen)

Breed: Chihuahua mix

Owner: The Fonseca family

Favorite activity: Playing with his toys, going on walks

Favorite toy: A big stuffed dog that he adopted as his own. He uses it as a bed, wrestling partner, playmate, blanket and best friend. 

Favorite treat: Carrots and Beggin' strips

Where does he sleep: In the living room on his bed with his favorite toys. At times when he is scared or wants to feel extra loved, he will insist on having his bed brought into our room so he can sleep there.

Unique characteristics: He is very photogenic and poses for pictures. He also is very smart and prefers to go on leash-free walks and does very well off the leash.

Funny story: Once at a party he managed to slip out the door when one of the guests left. About five minutes had passed before we realized he was gone, and I immediately ran to the door thinking he was out there lost somewhere. Upon opening the door, there was Kikin sitting on the doormat shaking because he couldn't find a way to get back into the house.
