Citywide Garage Sale Scheduled for June 16
Those who'd like to participate must sign up by June 8.
The City of Newark’s 10th annual Citywide Garage Sale is coming to town in two weeks.
Numerous garage sales will be going on around town from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 16 and participants can still sign up, according to the City of Newark website.
Households that are holding a garage sale that day will be given a free garage sale kit, an advertising poster and more.

Last year, the event drew in about 25 participants. This year, the participant turnout is expected to be approximately 100. As of Monday, 94 households have signed up for the citywide garage sale, according to Joe Camero, communications specialist for Waste Management.
The deadline to sign up is Friday, June 8.
