During Ohlone College’s World Tai Chi and Qigong Day event, some of the top experts in wellness from across the Bay Area will lead seminars throughout the day. Sifu Bryant Fong, one of the first American Wushu coaches to be certified by the Chinese Wushu Association, and coach for the Martial Arts Program at UC Berkeley is one of the presenters. Sifu May Chen, festival organizer, who is a world-class martial artist and was awarded the Tai Chi Master of the Year Award in 2010 from the World Qigong Congress, will lead Tai Chi and Qigong sessions.

“This year’s focus is on the internal aspects of Tai Chi and Qigong,” says Sifu Chen, who has been an instructor at Ohlone College since 2008. “The mind-body-spirit connection is inherent in the Tai Chi Qigong practice.”
