How about Newark become part of Fremont.

Why don't we chuck indipendance and join Fremont as as a District, does any body care.

I wouldn't call a difference of opinion as apathy, Ms. Adolf. Just because YOU don't like what you see doesn't mean that others aren't actively participating. Apathy is a state of indifference; it doesn't mean that people are lazy and aren't fighting for what they want...it simply means that people are happy with the way things are. If you like the current administration, continuing to vote them into office isn't apathetic; it's responsible.

We all have a right to our own opinion. It is clear that the majority of people do like things the way they are. That is why when the other people ran for office they didn't have a lot of chance of unseating incumbents.

I haven't seen any news about anyone running for election this next time.

About flat top houses, my cousin owns a two story flat top home that is well over 100 years old in Canada. It has a central drain in roof to carry away melted snow.

Yes, Shirley, there is more than one style of flat roofed house; it is very good of you to notice this and share it with the people reading Patch. The majority of the flat roofed houses in Newark, referred to derogatively as "flat tops" are one story American International style houses. I once lived in a Portland apartment house that dated from the early 20th Century or late 19th Century that was three stories and flat roofed - but it was not an American International by any stretch of the imagination.
