  • Why Go: Come out to be a part of the 38th Annual Black History Month Observance presented by the City of Newark Cultural Arts Program along with the Afro-American Cultural & Historical Society, Inc. Enjoy vendors, a keynote speaker, singers, dancers, poets, a Soul Food kitchen and a health and wellness seminar at this community event.

NEWARK BAND BOOSTERS 2ND ANNUAL PANCAKE BREAKFAST FUNDRAISER

  • Where/When: Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 38801 Blacow Road, Fremont; Saturday from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Why Go: The perfect way to start your Saturday! Come out to help the Newark Memorial High School choir and band raise the money for their trip to Anaheim.

ROMANCE ON THE RAILS          

  • Where/When: Sunol Depot 6 Kilkare Rd., Sunol; Sunday at 2 p.m.
  • Why Go: Looking for adventure with your sweetie? Ride the rails in romantic style while enjoying both the view and local wines paired with hors d'oeuvres.
  • Pricing: Tickets are $75 each.

OPERATION VALENTINE WITH ALAMEDA COUNTY BLUE STAR MOMS

  • Where/When: 43321 Christy St, Fremont; Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10 a.m. to 5p.m.
  • Why Go: Come out to help collect donations for troops deployed overseas.
