Hats off to our "Liberal Lion" may he continue to irritate the minority of conservatives in his Congressional District. As one of the Congressmen to propose reclassifiying marijuana & removing most federal penalties he has led the way for sensible reform. He has also joined with Ron Paul & Barbara Lee to sue the federal government in an attempt to stop the harassment of patients & dispensaries which are legal in 16 states. A voice for the downtrodden,a thorn in the side of Republicans & the only avowed atheist in Congress make Pete Stark an inspiration to the voters who continue to re-elect him by a wide margin year after year after year !!! I only wish I could enrage right-wing morons have as much as you do,keep up the good work !!!

You're out of your mind. You think it's just conservatives that want to put this guy out to pasture? Please, those Reagan Democrats out there want this guy gone as well. I have liberal friends that love Obama but cannot stand Stark, Boxer, Pelosi or Barbara Lee.
And by the way, Stark has a challenger this November. That's why he's out on this "listening tour" Dublin councilman Eric Swalwell (D) will take on Stark for the new 15th Congressional District. He's got my vote. http://www.swalwellforcongress.com/

Interesting... Swalwell has been endorsed by Union City Police Chief Greg Stewart and the Union City Police Officers Association.
